Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
- from William Shakespeare's Macbeth.
Another one of the most iconic sympols of the witch is the cauldron. Even the mention of the cauldron brews up visions of eye of newt and turning people into toads. In the real world, such is not the case. Cauldrons can be used it rituals and sometimes are merely symbolic. To know more go to the Tools of the Witch article from Witchvox and read what it says about cauldrons.
Hi Cats!
I’m back from Wrightsville Beach, NC. I haven’t been to the beach in over 9 years, so I suppose I was due. It was nice, but exhausting. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so, I have only memories to bring back. I saw some water, but not as much as you would think. The highlight waqs going to Southport, NC which is the town I based Have, Chelsea’s hometown, on. We road the ferry over and back, so that was fun. We didn’t do anything “exciting”, but still, we did a lot. Anyway, I’m back and should be back at it on Monday. Take care.
Btw, there was a Woody After Hours/COTC strip up on Friday. Somehow I missed it. If you want to check it out, just go check it out!
Ufologists Attention!
I’ve got some guest art up at ETI-PI, the alien chasing webcomic by Mark Mekkes. I love old B Science Fiction movies and Mark’s comic was a perfect catalyst for parody in this vein. If you’re into UFOs, alien hunting, great characters and funny comics, check out ETI-PI! Mark is also the creator of the long running Space Opera parody, Zortic! Be sure to check that one out too.
Thanks, Mark!
Hi Cats!
In June of 1999 COTC, Elf Life and Alice debuted on the web. Elf Life debuted on June 14th and both Alice and COTC just a week later. At the time, Carson Fire, Michael McKay-Fleming and I didn’t know of the other’s existence, but within a year our respective comics were all being hosted by Keenspot. In 2000, to commemorate our first year on the internet, we decided to do a crossover. Crisis on Infinite Keenworlds, named to spoof DC Comics’ Crisis on Infinite Earths, would blend the worlds of all three comics in a fun little romp. The story was also made to cross promote our comics and so it was presented in a way that made the reader skip from comic to comic. Nine years later, with Carson and Michael's kind permission, the story is presented here as a whole. Here ya go ...
Crisis on Infinite Keenworlds
All three comics have seen good times, bad times and down times, but we are all still out there in one form or another. I wish to thank Carson and Michael for the good times back then and I wish them well in the years to come. Visit Alice at http://alice.alicecomics.com and Elf Life at http://www.bookelves.com. Both are extraordinary works and should not be missed. Thanks, guys!
There are two sequels to this crossover, Thingamajig Shenanigans from Alice and Eleanor from COTC.
