If it’s SAD then, from what I’ve heard and read, bright light (in the form of a light box) might be able to help.

Just see to yourself, Jamie, and get yourself feeling better. We’ll be fine until you’re ready. :D

    I hate “SAD”.

Not just the disorder itself, which is real, and can be devastating to some people, but the name it was given.

I mean, really? You (and by “you”, I mean whoever came up with it, not you personally, Jamie,) just *HAD* to come up with a cutesy acronym for a depressive disorder? Why not call it “Untimely Natural Hatred of Apathetic Personal Perceptions Yammering” syndrome???

(Alright, I spent half an hour trying to come up with that, and just can’t find a good set of words, sorry.)

Ed, if you can remember the acronym and know what it refers to then the person/commitee that came up with it has done his/her/their job. The two things organisations want their names to are: to be recognised and for that recognition to be accurate.
