You’re not alone brother. It’s the end of an era.

    So… What happens next?

As far as readers are concerned, the Keenspot header and newsbox disappear. Everything else stays the same. :)

I knew Keenspot was doomed when Howard Tayler (author/artist of Schlock Mercenary) moved out. Not only has he been going on strong without Keenspot, he’s got a nice new “sponsor” to protect him from all the nastiness. (Just go to the site and see.) It’s an idea….

And Merry Yule to you too, Jaime.

I remember the exodus very well. Several Keenspotters left at the same time. Currently I was lucky enough to get back w/ Adsdaq and after the holidays will be checking out some other ad providers.

These Wordpress/Comicpress blogs can be persnickety. I learned the hard way that they have to be formatted just right. Anyway, I don’t normally like editing someone else’s post, but I thought I would play w/ it a bit. I just stripped it down to basic html, about all I know, and it should be fine now. Thanks!

    Eep….. I’m used to HTML, not this format! I thought that’d work…..

Any road, Howard is the artist/writer of Schlock Mercenary. Y’all can see the link in the post above. I bet it does use the standard HTML – which means use the {/a} (with the usual brackets) …and that “acronym title” thing didn’t work either, unless {Jaime} saw it. It’s not showing up here on my screen….

I’m glad you’re leaving that sinking ship, Jamie. I used to be a huge supporter of Keenspot. But after what happened with Kel and with John… I realized that the company I had loved for so long was dead. This shambling pile of code is not Keenspot.

Good luck with going solo. While I understand Project Wonderful doesn’t have the great deal it used to with Webcartoonists any longer, you might consider them anyway as their site seems most reliable.

Also, you might consider using the 910CMX forum community; the EGS crowd moved there, and there are dozens of comics that also use it. While the comments field is very nice, some of us like the history found in forums. ^^

    Take care, and good luck

    Rob H.
