Gimme some “Skin” (please read)

Hi all.
I have been approached by an ad company that would like to add on a “skin” advert to my site. For those who do not know, a skin basically encompasses the background of the site. Here is an example at Comic Book Resources. Honestly, they are less intrusive than pop-ups or expandable ads and I hear they pay very well. I could use some “very well” about now. Still, I wanted to run it by you guys to see what you think. I know it’s my site, but I do value your opinions very highly.

COTC, as many of you know, is 10 years old this year. It began in June of 1999. Taking a hint from this article, I thought I would use my vacation time to do a little experimenting w/ the blog. Ten Years ago today, 12/28/1999, COTC was just six months old. A story comic from the beginning, COTC rarely journeyed into the foray of the "joke-a-day" format. Well, as luck would have it, ten years ago, today, was an exception.
Ha! And some of those games are still around!
I got an early Christmas present tonight from my aunt. A one of a kind, Sebo orament from Wilmington, NC artist Deborah Cavenaugh.
