History

Raven was born in Prague, OK; a perfectly normal girl of perfectly normal parents. She’s 5-foot-3 (160 cm) and 128 pounds (58 kg). She has black hair, brown eyes, and 20-20 vision.

While still in high school she worked at her home town’s cable station. She had surgery in high school to repair a broken left ankle due to a softball injury. Little remains of her left inside ankle bone as a result. The cross she wears is from her paternal grandmother, who wore it all her life, especially during her escape from the Nazi invasion of old Czechoslovakia. The cross was a high school graduation present to Raven.

Then Raven went to college. In 1996, while she was an intern at one of the networks, she met Chelsea, one of the museum staff, at an art opening and the pair became instant friends. Since Chelsea has told Raven all about her adventures, she is certainly one of Chelsea’s closest friends.

Raven interned at WLCD-66 after her internship in New York. When she finished college in 1998 with credentials as a reporter, Raven joined the staff of WLCD-66 in Cushing, OK, in a paid position. WLCD-66 is a tiny [fictitious] television market covering the towns of Langston, Cushing, and Davenport (which are in reality in the Tulsa market; fortunately comic strips don’t need to deal with reality).

Raven visited Chelsea in Haven for Hallowe’en, 2000, and experienced Chelsea’s magick first-hand. Raven was a ticked off with Chelsea, but fortunately Raven was not one to let a tiff get in the way of making marzipan skeleton cake for Días de los Muertos.

In 2001, Raven became deeply embroiled in rescuing Chelsea from the clutches of Eleanor. She survived that ordeal.

Around Christmas 2001, Chelsea and Raven got together in New York City, reflecting on 11 September.

Chelsea and Raven got stuck in the confusion of a portal storm when Chelsea attempted to portal them to a nightclub when the storm was in full force. They bounced around many alternate realities before returning home.

Personality

Raven is tough, no-nonsense, tomboyish, but caring. Very centered, she has strong values. She is single and not looking.

She is torn between loving the challenges of her job and hating the constant interference from management. She definitely thinks television news should be more hard-hitting, investigative, and questioning.

She prefers to go barefoot as often as possible, and hates wearing high heels.
