Once upon a time, somewhen circa 28 000 BCE, a child was born to the living human woman we call Lillith. (When dealing with such long timespans, even a couple hundred years either way doesn’t matter too much.)
Lillith was sixteen when her son was born. It had been a difficult labour and delivery, and she was severely injured by it. Lillith was alone. Her son was weak and would probably soon die. She named him Kern and cradled him for a while. Then, to end his suffering, she cut his throat. She drank his blood, not realising that she, too, was bleeding to death. They died within moments of each other.
Lillith’s soul was so enraged, so full of guilt and grief over her son, that it reached realm of the Old Ones, very old, very powerful demons. Lillith did not realise that Kern’s soul had followed her, drawn by the natural affinity between a mother and her child. As the more developed personality, the Old Ones dealt with Lillith first. They transmogrified her into a demon herself, and sent her back to her body as a vampire, the first one.
Since the mother was so strong and intriguing,
they expected the son to be as well.
However, as a newborn baby,
he was not ready to face existence on earth,
even given an adult body.
He needed experience.
The Old Ones changed him into a demon, so he could gain it.
The Old Ones also snatched Kern’s body from Lillith’s arms,
so she would not know what happened,
and also so that they could later provide Kern with a physical form.
Almost thirty thousand years pass, but what does time mean to a demon?
Kern existed as a demon among the Old Ones,
gathering knowledge and power from them
and gaining a form of life experience.
Finally, when they decided he was ready,
the Old Ones sent Kern to earth in physical demon form
(long finger claws and all).
Another Demon-Vampire had appeared on earth.
The year was 1892.
Kern confronted Lillith and claimed to be her child.
She did not believe him of course.
There was absolutely no proof.
Hopefully, the Old Ones enjoyed the show.
Regardless of of everything else,
Kern was still a vampire and needed blood.
As he knew Lillith and Dracula had,
he too sired fledglings to attend him.
If he was disappointed with their grotesque appearance and bestial natures,
he did not show it;
at least they were uglier than he was.
And they were loyal.
Nosferatu vampires gained their name soon
after F.W. Murnau’s film of the same name came out in 1922.
The Nosferatu are similar to Lilith-Vampires except
for being much easier to kill,
much more bestial in nature,
and not retaining their living appearance.
What Lillith, the Lilith-Vampires in general, and the Tepes-Vampires
think of the bestial Nosferatu is not known at this time.
They may even wish to disclaim them as vampire kin.
Kern is intelligent.
More, he is cunning.
Spending time with demons teaches you a lot.
Kern hates his mother with a passion,
presumably because he blames her for
Kern was cursed by the same Elder Demons that cursed Lilith,
but he was given different powers.
He has the normal abilities of Lilith-Vampires,
but because his mother killed him as an infant,
the Old Ones gave him complete immortality...there
is no way at all to destroy Kern.
Kern’s experience with the Old Ones
makes him a Vampire-Practitioner of great power,
at the level of noble wizard at least.

History
Not even Kern’s memories of the Old Ones could convince Lillith,
since she did not even remember the Elder Demons who cursed her.
The two part as enemies.
Secure in her powers, Lillith was not too concerned.
