Little Anna was a neighbour of Ruth, Chelsea’s grandmother. As a result, since Chelsea was living there, they knew each other.
It is known that Anna’s mother and father were divorced. It may be that Anna’s mother moved to Haven to start anew.
Anna was an innocent, able to understand Sebastian even though she wasn’t magickal. This made the cat one of her favourite playmates, much to his chagrin.
She was briefly in danger from Chelsea in leopard form, but Sebastian intervened in time. Perhaps, as Chelsea later speculated, he liked the girl and her tea parties.
Anna was murdered under mysterious circumstances in March of 2002 CE. (The perpetrator was Rose Wilson, but Chelsea did not know that until later.) This tragedy, on the heels of Eleanor’s torture and the loss of her friend Lucy, caused Chelsea to experience intense feelings of regret, as if she could have saved the little girl.
Chelsea did, however, find a measure of peace by performing a ceremony at Anna’s gravesite that symbolically closed the circle.
Anna was a typical little girl: innocent, trusting, loving, and given to tea parties. Her innocence allowed her to understand Sebastian. She loved animals of all sorts, especially Sebastian.
