History

In 1195 CE, a son was born to the Fourth Wolf-Councillor, Nolan Perseus Conall. Perhaps he wasn’t feeling very creative, as “Mabon” is Welsh for “son”; however, more charitably, it is also the name of an old Celtic god.

Mabon became Fifth Wolf-Councillor when his father died, somewhat unexpectedly, in 1265 CE. Mabon served ably on the Council of Three, being one of the strongest advocates of its strict non-intervention in affairs having to do with humanity.

In 1461 CE, the Morph Champion Marcus Lupus Ferox confronted the Council of Three on their inaction with respect to the atrocities perpetuated by the Eleanor Uasal. Even after learning that the Uasal Witch had the Scrolls of Hekate and was planning to attempt ascension to godhood did not move the Council to sanction any action against her. She had committed no crime against the Netherworld and they only handled Netherworld disputes. (Whether the Council ever learned of the unofficial actions against the Uasal Witch is not known.)

In 1675 CE, Mabon became the father of a son, Senan.

Mabon was a wizard alpha-morph, so his activities included practicing the Craft. He was also an Ancient. Either of these may have caused others to wonder about him. As some point, he drew the attention of agents of the Inquisition of the Damned. Rather than taking chances with the Inquisition, Mabon Conall fled to the New England Colonies in 1701 CE. He changed his name to Liberius Conner at the same time. (The new surname was also bestowed on his son, Senan Conner.)

By 1750 CE, Liberius abdicated from his position on the Council of Three. His son Senan Conner became Sixth Wolf-Councillor.

Liberius lived for an additional seventeen years, dying in 1767 CE.

Personality

He appears to have had an almost fanatical devotion to the Council’s principle of non-interference with humanity.
