There are two main types of dimensions in the CotC universe.
The least common is the Pocket Dimension. This is a dimension created by a magickal being and usually has a temporary existence. An example of a pocket dimension is Eleanor’s realm.
The other main type is the Coexisting Dimension. These are dimensions that exist along side of our own and may exist in infinite numbers. The greater number of these types of dimensions is what is more popularly known as alternate universes. However, some of these coexisting dimensions are completely alien to our sensibilities and may be made more of emotion than matter. These are Abstract coexisting dimensions and may form the origin of the ideas for Heaven and Hell. On the planet island of the Council of Three are standing portals to some of these coexisting dimensions.
Most of the magickal creatures of earth have fled to other coexisting dimensions to enjoy a quieter life.
