Spring sprung a while back, but planting comes just about any time of year. It has been said that talking to plants helps them get along, but ever chanted for your plants? It’s something to consider. Mythbusters did an episode on talking (etcetera) to plants. They set up seven greenhouses on a roof. They set up stereos so they wouldn’t have to talk endlessly to the plants. Two greenhouses had positive speech. Two had negative speech. One had classical music. One had death metal music. And one had no stereo.
The four greenhouses with speech looping grew better than the control (no difference due to tone of voice). The one with classical music grew best. And the one with death metal grew pretty well *despite* the fact that the battery died in an automatic watering mechanism.
