Happy Yule, everybody!
The above drawing was done for a friend of mine who lost her Dad last week. It is also dedicated to all those who have loved ones who can no longer be home for the holidays. I know it is Halloween in which the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest. This time of year, however, the air is thick with the memories of those who have already passed through the veil.
Reference stock photography was used for this illustration.
And now, for a complete turn around. Something a bit on the lighter side. Sometimes people learn … a little.
Merry Christmas, everyone!

I hope you had a Happy Christmas.
Hehe… claw scratch mark on his shirt.
Beautifully done! You have it so right about the holidays. The air is indeed thick with memories, and it doesn’t matter how cathartic Samhain was. It doesn’t help that I just had my BD on the 3rd, and that birthdays in my family were a big family thing. Not so much big expensive gifts, but Mom (RIP) made whatever we wanted to eat. My hubby got carry-out from a good German restaurant, so that helped. Chocolate truffle cake always helps. Chelsea needs some. (Claw marks! {giggle} Claus marks?) Wonder if she likes sauerbraten too?
