Chelsea looks like a panther in some panels, and like a housecat in others, but I can’t tell whether Dracula changed her from woman to panther to housecat or she’s changing from panther to housecat and back. There’s no sense of scale, and the length of her muzzle is all over the place.

This is the first time that we’ve seen the panther talk to the camera. Normally, it just acts rather than thinks. Does this mean that, by accepting her other side, she’s getting more control over it?
Oh, I think the panther is great in every frame. Even though they are NOT big housecats, if one ever watches a panther in a zoo, they sure can act like them and I think Jamie’s art is right on the spot.
I think that she does look a little like a house-cat in some panels, but I thought it intentional, a manifestation of her more kitty-esque urges, like peeing in public and grooming. I laughed at “FLEA!” She doesn’t stop looking like a panther, it’s just that sometimes, in panel 3 especially, she seems to have house-cat qualities.
Kuro, my black cat, thinks he’s a miniature panther. I think all cats do. My cat, though, hasn’t figured out he’s not panther-sized and attempts to hunt all sorts of things he really should keep far, far away from. Like the hawks.
