I’m with Kabbalist – that definitely looks like an “oh shit” kind of face – esp. since Mel went human there at the end.
Fransciso – Mel may not be thinking straight because of what just got thrown at her. Remember, water can feel like a ton of bricks if one uses enough pressure. Notice the decreasing number of air bubbles?

Just…. Wow! I’ve finally gotten through over 10 years of comics, and enjoyed every minute of reading it. I’m completely blown away by this comic, thank you so much for introducing us to this cast of fantastic characters. The story is endearing and captivating and the artwork is enchanting. Also, reading comments/blogs till now, I do hope that you’re taking care of yourself and get to feeling better very soon. Now I have to wander the internet in search of something to occupy my “work” time while waiting for updates!! Can’t wait to see more

Great stuff! Though, I think either there was a large section skipped, or maybe I glazed over it. It seemed like the Dracula storyline appeared halfway in. Might just be me, though. ^_^;

Wow Jamie new fan/reader here, much enjoying COTC. It’s good to see human characters shaped and drawn like humans here, as well as the story and personalities – they just sucked me in and I had to go read the entire archive. Thanks for putting it up for us.
hiatus much? i mean. i know things sometimes come up, but there haven’t been updates for what seems like months, and there was no warning as far as i am aware. this is one of my favorite webcomics, so i’m kinda upset.
If you look at the dates of the comics over the years, the answer is yes. “hiatus, much”…
and Jamie’s fans tend to be pretty protective, so I’d avoid criticism of that fact. he’s had major health problems and computer problems over the years, and does this work for free…so back off.
