This one will take some explaining. The video game, Mass Effect 3 came out last March and was highly anticipated to those who played it. It was as anticipated to those in the know as Return of the Jedi was in 1983. Also, as w/ ROTJ, it was a bit of a disappointment especially w/ the ending. In fact it’s probably the most controversial and disappointing end to a video game ever. It was so disappointing that thousands of fans thought that it had to be a dream. The company who made it, BioWare created free DLC for the fans who were disappointed w/ the ending. The main character of the Mass Effect is Commander Shepard, who is customizable by the player. I based mine on Chelsea, hence the double take for her in the strip. I grew attached to her and wanted to help her out a bit w/ the end, so I had Jacob give her a staff. This strip is for me and the LOLs more than anything, so it’s not “officially” canon and if you don’t get it, don’t worry. We’ll be back to the regular story on Monday.
