No Comic Today, COTC Back Friday

Hi all,
Well, it was bound to happen. I got behind again. *sigh* Part of it was due to losing a couple of days due to problems w/ my foot and then we received a lovely snow storm (really), but it left us w/out power for a while. Anyway, instead of cluttering the story up w/ filler art, I thought I would post filler stuff here in the blog for whenever. COTC will return Friday.
The illustration of Chelsea was a drawing I did a while back, but never colored. I colored it in a trial version of Photoshop CS4. I like CS4, especially the ability to rotate the actual window, but it’s a bit sluggish. It seems that Adobe has linked the performance of Photoshop to graphics cards just like most video games. Not sure I’m crazy about that, but I’m still debating on upgrading. Again, COTC will be back Friday. Thanks!
Just out of curiosity, have you ever tried GIMP?
I have, and Gimpshop too. Both are very good, but I’ve been using Photoshop since version 3 (and played around w/ version 1) and I’m use to it. I have CS3, so if I don’t upgrade I’m not losing anything.

Looks like a combination of Lightroom and iPhoto- http://www.frogmix.com/search/lightroom . Is this an online or desktop app? I’ve requested in the past Adobe create a light viewer and something to do very basic edits. Hope this is that. i.e. Like Irfanview but Adobeized.
